1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using GAMSAT Coach (the “service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who we are

3. The service
GAMSAT Coach is an AI-assisted study platform for GAMSAT preparation. It includes features such as diagnostic and practice questions, mock tests, AI essay marking, an AI tutor, spaced-repetition flashcards, and personalised study plans. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the service (or parts of it) at any time.
4. Eligibility
You must be able to form a legally binding contract to use the service. If you are under 18, you may only use the service with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
5. Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password secure and confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
6. Acceptable use
When using the service, you agree not to:
- Use it for any unlawful purpose or in breach of these Terms.
- Copy, scrape, harvest, or bulk-extract content from the platform.
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or redistribute the service or its content.
- Share your account with others or let others use it.
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content, or attempt to disrupt the service.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, other accounts, or our systems.
7. Payments, subscriptions and refunds
Some features are free and others require a paid plan. Pricing, the billing cycle, and renewal terms are shown to you before you pay, and payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe — we never see or store your card details. All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD).
Monthly Pro is a subscription that automatically renews each month until you cancel. 6-month Pro is a single upfront payment that gives you six months of access and does not auto-renew. You can cancel a subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription, which opens the Stripe billing portal; when you cancel, you keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.
Refunds. Because your Pro access begins immediately, we do not offer refunds for change of mind on time already elapsed. However, if something goes wrong — the service is faulty, not as described, or unavailable for an extended period — you are entitled to a remedy, which may include a repair, replacement or refund. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, or were charged in error, contact us at support@aptavia.com.au and we will assess it in good faith and in line with the Australian Consumer Law. One-off deep-marking credits are refundable only where they are unused or where a mark failed to generate.
We are not currently registered for GST; prices are not shown as GST-inclusive and we do not issue tax invoices. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including the consumer guarantees described in section 12 — those guarantees cannot be excluded, and this refund policy operates in addition to them, not instead of them.
8. Intellectual property
The service, including its software, design, and the content we provide, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your own personal GAMSAT preparation.
You keep ownership of the content you submit (such as your essays). By submitting content, you grant us a licence to store and process it as needed to provide the service to you (including sending it to our AI providers for marking or feedback).
9. AI-generated content
Practice questions, explanations, essay feedback, and tutoring responses are generated using artificial intelligence. AI can make mistakes and may occasionally produce content that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. This content is provided to assist your study only. It is not professional, medical, or career advice, and you should verify important information against official ACER materials and other authoritative sources.
10. No guarantee of results
We do not guarantee any particular GAMSAT score, exam result, or admission to any medical or other program. Your outcomes depend on many factors outside our control, including your own effort and preparation. Any score improvements mentioned on the site are examples and are not a promise of your results.
11. Not affiliated with ACER
GAMSAT Coach is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER). “GAMSAT” is a registered trademark of ACER. Always confirm current test dates, fees, and rules on the official ACER website.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
Australian Consumer Law: Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies those rights. Where we are permitted to limit our liability, our liability for a failure to comply with a consumer guarantee is limited to re-supplying the service or paying the cost of having it re-supplied.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the service.
13. Termination
You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the service in a way that may cause harm or legal risk.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of [State/Territory, e.g. Victoria], Australia, and you submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that place.
