This page is the part a study site usually leaves out: the entity you would be contracting with, what this product does and does not claim to do, and how our marking works.

What this is — and what it is not
Independent of ACER
Aptavia is not affiliated with, authorised by, or endorsed by ACER, the organisation that sets and marks the GAMSAT. GAMSAT is a registered trademark of ACER. Nothing you do here reaches them, and nothing here changes what they do.
Our marks are estimates from our own instrument
Every score on this platform is produced by our marking engine. It is not a result issued by ACER. ACER publishes two assessment criteria for Section II and no marking rubric, so the six sub-criteria your report is built on are ours: we derived them from those two criteria to make the feedback specific. Calibration is a separate mechanism, and it is ours too — the Judges' criterion marks are converted to our reported scale by a fixed conversion table we set and record, and what each level on that scale means is fixed by written reference essays the Judges are shown. Neither is fitted to real ACER results. ACER releases no marked essay and no per-essay Section II score, so nobody holds that pairing — not us, and not anyone quoting a number at you.
The percentile is an approximation, and says so
ACER does not publish a score-to-percentile table. Any percentile you see here is our own approximation of the scale, labelled as one wherever it appears.
Preparation, not admission advice
We can show you how your reasoning is tracking and what to fix next. We cannot tell you what a program will do with a score — confirm every fee, date and entry requirement with the university and on ACER's own website.
How we hold ourselves to it
A Section II essay is marked by two AI Judges that do not see each other's work, and the score you get is their cross-check rather than one opinion. When one of them fails mid-run, the mark says so on its face instead of quietly shipping as though two had marked it — and it can be re-marked with both. How marking works and our calibration evidence are both published, dated, and flagged when they describe an older engine.
